In an endeavour to keep everybody safe we are encouraging self check-in. This can be anytime after 15:00. However we will be on site so if you would prefer to be checked in then this can be anytime between 15:00 and 19:00.
For information about our optional self check-in and other coronavirus precautions please check the Covid-19 page.
Just a reminder (as you probably know) we don’t provide breakfast at No. 38PZ and there are no guest cooking facilities. We like to offer the rooms at a lower rate than normal, which allows our guests a bit of choice and the possibility of a lie in!
There are a number of great independent cafes and food shops nearby (see places to eat). Our local Co-op opens at 7am (closes at 11pm) and sells bread, croissants, etc. It is open seven days a week.
The guest lounge has a dining table, plates, glasses and cutlery so you are welcome to bring your own food and eat it there. Again please see the Covid-19 page for further information.
Arriving by car - Parking
There are lots of parking options ......
There is free on-street parking on the opposite side of our road. If there are no spaces then we normally advise that guests drop their bags off quickly (stopping on the single yellow lines). If you then go down to the seafront and turn right you will find more free parking either on the seafront itself or any of the roads just off the seafront.
You can however park on our side of the road on the single yellows anytime in-between 17:00 and 09:00 in the morning. Traffic Wardens are vigilant though so do remember to get up and move your car in the morning! Alternatively Penzance tennis club car park (Wellfields car park - google map ref: 50.117894, -5.541188) is 5 minutes walk away and only costs £2.50 for 24 hours.
Arriving by train
It is an easy walk from the station. If you follow google maps on your phone it takes about 10 minutes but does involve a small hill and some cobbles. Alternatively follow the coast road around which takes an extra 5 minutes but is flat and smooth (ideal for suitcases on wheels) . If you prefer to take a taxi there are normally plenty waiting outside the station.
