We look forward to welcoming you to No.38PZ, Penzance and Cornwall. We have developed cleaning and social distancing measures based on Government guidance and are confident that all our guests will be as safe as possible. Our aim is to keep the same relaxed and welcoming atmosphere that our guests have enjoyed in the past but at the same time make sure you have complete peace of mind whilst staying with us.
Meeting our guests is the one thing that we have had the biggest discussion over. It feels so odd not always being there to welcome you into our house. However with everbody's safety in mind we feel that in the current circumstances we should encourage self check-in. Each room will have its own key safe on the outside of the main entrance door and you will receive an email/text a day or two before you arrive explaining the process to get in and find your room (its very simple).
If you find this process too alien then we will be available during normal check-in times (between 15:00 and 19:00). Every effort will be made to keep a safe distance, limit contact time and we will be wearing face masks whilst seeing you to your room.
There are guest hand sanitiser stations throughout the house including at the entrance before you come in. We will be using sanitising spray frequently on high-touch areas, such as light switches, door handles and handrails.
At the front of the house, to the right of the entrance, there is a lounge which is exclusively for guest use. In the bay window of the room there is a table to eat at. This will be checked and cleaned regularly so you are welcome to use it. Can we please ask you to respect other guests and only use the room one group at a time.
In the bedroom, we’re paying special attention to all hard surfaces including TV remotes, kettles and door handles. All bed linen will be laundered at over 60 degrees. We will not enter bedrooms during your stay so if you require fresh towels or a change of bed linen just let us know and we can do this by arrangement. As we have removed our normal ‘help yourself areas’ we have introduced a bag exchange system. For further information please see below under 'Hospitality Pack'
There will be a daily hospitality pack in a wipeable holdall in your room. It will contain cups, glasses, spoons, a water bottle and a paper bag. The bag will have refills of biscuits, tea, coffee, sugar and milk. These have all been pre-packed at least 72 hours before use so are completely safe to handle. If you could please leave it outside your door the next morning with any dirty cups, rubbish, water bottle, etc and we leave a replacement with fresh supplies.

Keeping in contact
Although we will be on site we encourage the use of email (firstname.lastname@example.org), text or WhatsApp (07920781036) to keep in touch whilst you are with us. Simply put your room number at the head of the text and then a request message, whether thats for an issue with something in the room or requiring fresh towels, etc, etc.
We only have 5 guest bedrooms spread over 3 floors and every part of the staircase has a passing area. If you do meet other guests outside your group can we please ask that you stand back and allow a reasonable distance for each other to pass on the stairs or corridors.
